Background

Grant Hatley joined League and Williams in November 2020 as a solicitor, with a focus on estate planning, estate administration and corporate commercial work.  Grant brings with him experience as an estate litigator having previously acted for and against executors, trustees and beneficiaries in estate related disputes including validity claims, wills variation claims and the passing of executor and trustee accounts.  This prior experience enables Grant to effectively assist his clients in avoiding common pitfalls in the areas of estate planning and estate administration. When disputes cannot be avoided, Grant Hatley is able to negotiate a resolution and can effectively advise on litigation options.

Grant Hatley completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Victoria and completed his law degree at Bond University in Australia.  Grant articled in Northern British Columbia before returning to Victoria, BC to continue practicing law.

When he is not practicing law, Grant enjoys playing and watching sports, specifically rugby and tennis and giving back to his community.
